MCDS pays attention to suggestions of the stakeholders in order to have improvement on programs, show respect to others and play an influential role for the well-being of the community. It is making its effort to strengthen its accountability on the impact of community and the use of resources internally with the funding partners.

Staff Feedback

MCDS has encouraged the staff to give feedback. With this, the meeting is held in every three months between Community Development Coordinator or Project Officer of all projects and Central Office Staff. The organizational and program level staff are encouraged to give their key suggestions as well as feedback in the meeting. Along with this, half yearly and annual program review workshop are organized where the staff have been given an opportunity to share their suggestions and feedback for the well-being of the organization. The staff has also been given the opportunity to share their information through email or with direct conversation, cellphone, by any means, in the critical case.

Community Accountability

In order to ensure accountability with the community, few activities are into practice which includes on disseminating fact information on accomplished as well as upcoming planned program along with the budget estimation through ‘Stakeholders Meeting’ of project field. In addition, at the end of the fiscal year ‘Social Audit’ is carried out where details on accomplished programs with the community as well as organizational contribution are presented to the stakeholders. The work plan for the upcoming year is prepared out through ‘Micro work planning’ meeting where the needs of the community are accumulated and selected on the basis of preference ranking. The curiosity as well as queries of the community is also settled during the planning meeting. Any sort of suggestions, as well as grievances by the community, has been managed to share through the field-based office.

Accountability with Government Bodies

Accountability with the government has been found to be significant by MCDS. The organization takes permission from VDC or municipality prior to carrying out the survey for program expansion. Similarly, before launching the program, the organization takes recommendation and approval from the VDC or municipality and then from the district level departments; District Public Health, District Education, District Water and sanitation, as per the program which later is collectively be submitted with the project proposal to the District Development Committee for the approval. Along with this, a final  approval will be taken from the Social Welfare Council. Frequent monitoring and evaluation are carried out by Social Welfare Council, District Development Committee and VDC as per the nature of program during the implementation phase and accomplishment of the program.
